Beeta Rasouli

​ Beeta Rasouli drives the Lewis-Burke healthcare portfolio in areas impacting academic health centers, clinical providers, and biomedical researchers.  She keeps a close eye on legislative and administrative trends across the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)-particularly the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)- Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).   Beeta is the firm’s leading expert on federal opioid research and policy and has spearheaded the charting of emerging strategic opportunities for clients, not only with federal agencies, but also those that leverage state and local initiatives. 

With a deep expertise in health policy, Beeta offers tailored insights to advance client needs under an ever-changing healthcare landscape.  Beeta is adept at leveraging and fostering relationships with key congressional staff, federal offices, and healthcare stakeholders.  Beeta has a knack for thoughtfully identifying and cultivating strategies around emerging federal health-related policies.

Additional Experience: Beeta served as Senior Health Policy Associate at the Alliance for Health Policy, a non-partisan, non-profit organization co-founded by Senator Jay Rockefeller, which provides timely and relevant information on healthcare issues to policy makers.  Prior to that position, Beeta served on Capitol Hill as a Staff Assistant and Health Policy Fellow in the office of Pennsylvania Representative Allyson Schwartz’s office and as an intern in the offices of the late Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy and Ohio Representative Tim Ryan.

Vital Statistics: Beeta received her B.S. in Psychology from the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA and her Masters in Public Health from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.  In her spare time, Beeta posts about local chefs and restaurants on her food blog. She has also traveled to six out of seven continents in the world and hopes to make it to Antarctica one day.
