Jesse Poon

Jesse Poon provides targeted consultation, strategy development, and detailed policy analysis to Lewis-Burke clients within the veterans, healthcare, and international portfolios.  A skilled communicator, Jesse cultivates and maintains Capitol Hill relationships on both sides of the aisle, routinely working with relevant House and Senate committees and personal offices to enhance client strategies.

Since joining Lewis-Burke in 2014, Jesse has spearheaded the build-out of the Lewis-Burke's veterans portfolio and has led and enhanced client initiatives surrounding veterans employment, training, and healthcare.  He is also responsible for issues related to healthcare delivery, health IT, and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC).  Jesse advises clients on future and anticipated trends relating to opportunities within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), specifically in the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), and other federal agencies that focus on and fund healthcare delivery issues.  Though the focus of Lewis-Burke remains largely domestic, due to his educational background, Jesse also helps advise clients at the nexus of international policy and healthcare.  He has worked with the Department of State (DOS), the Fogarty international Center, and the CDC on client strategies focused on global and environmental health.
